I am the Hr Director of a small hospital. I have an ER Director that is having issues with a nurse regarding work schedule. The ER Director changed her schedule and did provide her with a months notice that her schedule would be changing. The nurse spoke with the doctors and members of the board regarding this and they (board) mandated that her schedule not be changed. Mind you her schedule would be changed from Monday - Wednesday to Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.

The CEO has received pressure from the board members that this individual schedule not be changed. The ER Director states that the CEO notified her that he was being pressured by the board members to resolve the issue in favor of the nurse schedule remaining as is. The ER Director feels she is working in an hostile environment and being bullied by superiors to allow her to continue to do so.
