Hey everyone,

I’m trying to decide between MEM and MSCS and would really appreciate some honest advice.

Background: CS/tech background

I’ve built a few small products/projects and I’m more interested in startups and product thinking

I enjoy building things, thinking about users, growth, and ideas

But:

I don’t enjoy LeetCode/DSA grind much

Not very interested in hardcore coding roles long term

Goals:

Get into Product Management or startup roles

Eventually move into the startup/VC space

My confusion:

MSCS seems to have higher ceiling but requires deep coding commitment

MEM seems aligned with product/business but I’m worried about ROI and job opportunities

Questions:

Is MEM actually a good path to Product roles in the US?

Will avoiding MSCS limit long-term opportunities?

For someone like me, which path would you choose and why?

Would really appreciate advice from people who’ve taken either path.
