The fact that this subreddit is still going on, after the mods deleted the sub to partake in their own little discord channel during the NBA FUCKING FINALS, show the low tier garbage that this subreddit has catered to. I’ve been around since 08, 09, and even then this place was catered to dumbasses that didn’t know basketball, but maybe, just maybe you’d find a good person that’d talk ball with you and wasn’t an absolute chode. This sub encourages the worst of the worst, the people who say that the NBA is the soap opera that men want.
Fuck that. It’s not. Some people remember that it’s still about fucking basketball. This place is the lowest tier of basketball discussion, the grossest representation of actual ball anywhere on the internet.
The mods have encouraged and cultivated a place that caters to the lowest common denominator. They don’t invite discussion, they don’t invite actual basketball knowledge. They cater to power users and the NBA Reddit itself. You’re being sold and bought and used, every stupid top 10 discussion you have, every supposed GOAT conversation ever had. It’s being distilled and sold back to you stupid fucks and it’s ruining a sport I love.
