GroveX is a scam exchange
Hi all,
Never posted in this space before but I just wanted to share my experience as a warning to anyone thinking of using GroveX.
In short: don't.
I made a Trust Pilot Review detailing everything that you can read here.
But in short:
- I opened an account and made a small deposit of about $165 CAD worth of BTC
- Traded for USDT which was used to buy TROLL
- Tried withdrawing it to my wallet after holding for a couple days
- After a withdrawal delay of about 24 hours, I reached out to customer service to see what's going on
- They told me I need to verify myself first. Fair I have no problem doing that
- Successfully submitted selfie & Driver's license to their verification software
- Shufti Pro (their verification software) instantly told me in response that I was "Blacklisted by the merchant"
- I followed up with customer service and they marked my ticket as "Resolved"
- I followed up again saying things are not resolved
- My account was then frozen
- I followed up again, no response
- I threaten to start reporting them as fraud if the situation isn't resolved
- They reply with an email basically implying that they closed my account for market manipulation and that they were going to block support access if I keep replying.
As it stands my funds are as good as gone.
Thankfully it was not for a significant amount (my deposit was just cashback from my shake pay card) but I wanted to make this post because someone could essentially make a big trade on here and find out when it's too late.
