There have been several bands I have played with, where I thought the music was cool and everything sounded good per se. But I just have not been overly excited or impressed at all by the music we play, and don't have any desire to listen to it outside of practice. Is this a feeling you would say is normal? It's not even from a standpoint of the songs being technical masterpieces, it's moreso finding everything to be a little too predictable I would say. There just seems to be a disconnect between what I look for in a song vs some of the instrumentalists I play with.
