Work experience - same position, changed employers
I’m a US-based special education teacher who’s moving, and working on updating my resume to apply for teaching positions in my new location. I’ve worked my whole career in the same program and while I’ve held different positions over the years, all moves have been internal transfers, so I haven’t touched my resume in nearly 20 years.
So, I’m very much starting from scratch. Have a bit of a unique situation/question regarding the work experience section:
Six years ago, the program I teach in transferred districts. Basically, we went from being under the banner of (and employed by) one local city public school district, to our county’s intermediate school district. Nothing about my position changed - I kept teaching in my same building, same classroom, same students, even - but my employer changed.
How should I reflect this on my resume? Would I list it as two separate positions? Keep it together? If kept together, how should I denote the two different employers of record within the same position?
