A little love goes a LONG way. When Luci came home with me, she was underweight, with thin fur, and that was AFTER some time in foster homes. I don't want to think about how she looked when she and her puppies were first picked up!

Between pregnancy and nursing hormones, the stress of having to fend for herself, and giving her puppies all the nutrition they needed, she was in rough shape. A user here, along with Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue, helped her take those first steps forward, and she had gotten much closer to a healthy weight by the time she walked into my home. I thought she was probably a Pyr mix and just didn't have all the fluff that Great Pyrenees usually have. Boy, was I wrong! 😅

It has been such a joyful journey to watch her fluff up and see her personality come out. She has added so much love and laughter to my life. I can't imagine not having her asleep at my feet now. Love you forever, Miss Mamacita!
