Safe race registration
Hello runners! 🏃♂️🏃♀️
This website was created from our own experience while searching for a race registration for the Prague Half Marathon.
At the last minute, we suddenly got free for the weekend and decided we would love to run the race. So we started looking for bibs in Facebook groups, marketplaces and various online communities…
And that’s when we discovered how many scammers operate in this space.
Almost everyone wanted payment in advance, refused to meet in person, and there were countless red flags we simply didn’t want to risk.
That’s exactly why
👉 RunResell.com
was created.
On our platform, payments are protected throughout the entire transfer process through Stripe, and sellers go through identity verification.
Another big advantage is that you don’t have to waste time dealing with scammers or dozens of fake “interested buyers.”
We connect you directly with someone who is genuinely interested in the registration.
We wanted to create a place where race registration transfers are safer, clearer and more convenient for runners — while also helping the running community get rid of scammers who can make people lose not only money, but also the chance to run a race they’ve dreamed about for a long time. Some registrations can easily cost dozens or even hundreds of euros, and these kinds of scams simply should not exist.
And even if you find a seller on Facebook, a marketplace website or in comments, and you have any doubts about sending money in advance, you can always ask the seller to use a secure transfer through RunResell.com.
RunResell protects both the buyer and the seller throughout the entire transfer process, making it a win-win solution for both sides.
If someone starts making excuses for not wanting to use a platform that protects both the buyer and the seller, you should probably think twice before sending money to that person.
RunResell’s fee is only 6% of the registration price, which is usually around €2–5 for a typical race entry.
And honestly, it’s far better to pay a few euros for a secure transfer than lose the entire registration price.
On top of that, the fee is charged only after a successful transfer is completed.
If this website helps even a few runners avoid getting scammed, then all the time spent building it was truly worth it. ❤️
And for everyone running RunCzech races — hopefully we’ll see each other in cities all across the Czech Republic. 🇨🇿
