Period after taking the pill

Ive taken an EllaOne pill 3 days after sex on the day that I was supposed to get my period. Now it’s two days after the pill and period still not there. Is it supposed to work like this? I also have to mention that I’ve been going through a lot of stress for good 3 days before expected period so it also may be the reason why I didn’t get the period on the day of taking the pill. Does all this make sense? Should it work like this? Please if you have any suggestions, lemme know 💋🌹❤️
