How do I fix this (or get someone to fix it)?
About 5 years ago we did a bathroom remodel in which we replaced the shower and tub surround. See third picture for final result. The panels are 0.5" Avonite (same type of material as Corian). Second pic is before the glass went in.
The problem is that the short vertical panel that is the shower side of the tub surround has kicked out - it's no longer vertical (so it no longer fits right and water can get behind it). It must be being forced out by some problem in the framing underneath it - maybe something warped badly.
Can this be taken apart to find the problem, but without destroying the materials? I figure there has to be some way to unstick the silicone holding the glass in, but I don't know what the panels are attached with (more silicone?) and how anyone would get under/behind it to cut it loose.
Of course the contractor who did the panels is now retired and not answering email.
PS: If there's a better sub to post this to, please let me know.
