#22 - Nine Sols
I originally picked this one up for the combat and later watched lore breakdowns for the story and I can confidently say that holy shit both aspects of this game are so so good. The game is just challenging enough where it's fun to learn all the boss attacks and the parrying system is so smooth it's a shame there's no other game on the market with a similar parry-focused style (other than Sekiro but I can't play that right now unfortunately). I'm pretty proud that it took me 33 hours to 100% it, I don't think I was stuck on any boss for an unreasonable amount of time.
Would definitely recommend if you're into challenging metroidvanias! It's at an all time low right now for $12 and I thought it was definitely worth it.
