Jinhao Semi-flex how to

First off, don’t ruin your pen! This is just a fun experiment.

Second, sorry for potato quality, or if it’s confusing. I just wanted to share how I did it since a few folks asked.

All the best!

Jinhao 20 Semi-flex fun

Hi all,

I got one of those Jinhao 20s I’ve kept seeing on here, it’s great! I ordered a med nib with the intent of grinding it into a sorta oblique italic, which I did, wonderful! I then noticed the nib is hecka thick, like .6 mm, I was looking at the shape of it and thought it might be fun to tweak it into a semi-flex, which I did! I did push it and sprung it once, but easily got it back into shape, so definitely not a full flex, oddly after springing and resetting it seems to have toughened up that area a bit (who knows). Now that I know the limitations I’d be keen on getting their EF and doing the same tweaks. This is mostly for note taking and line variation in drawing, as I’m not a great flex writer dude.

All the best
