My piano teacher wants me to look at classical pieces that I might be interested in playing at around grade 4 level (for context I’m an adult learner not doing exams).

I’ve started to build a list of pieces that caught my ear and which I think I’d like to have a crack at but would welcome any further suggestions. Aiming for more uptempo pieces.

Pescetti - presto
Bach - Prelude in C major
Bach - prelude in c minor
Bach - little prelude in F
Handel - allegro in F (check book)
Handel - aria from suite g major
Beethoven - fur Elise
Beethoven - adieu to the piano
Beethoven - minuet in g major WoO 10 No. 2

Want to do something more interesting and put a female head on my marshal - ideally a leftover either from my fusiliers or cavaliers. Anyone tried this? Any suggestions for making it work?

Getting into the core game and trying to find latest rules for CoS. Are they only available in the new battletome?

I also built a list using New Recruit but I’ve no idea if the datacards are up to date - but they’re not what’s in the previous battletome.

Seeking inspiration for painting the last few dogs of my Wildercorps.

I’m trying to make sense of what rubato is all about to avoid my playing sounding too boring. I get that it’s about finding a feel for the music and adding emotion but as someone who apparently lacks musicality I struggle to understand what that means in more tangible terms.

I know rubato is about staying in time but taking a little extra time here and giving it back there, and so on. But I seem to fall straight into fairly repetitive patterns and I’m unsure how to navigate that.

The other issue is when does rubato simply change crotchets into quavers or dotted crochets or even minims. I’m finding it very hard to comprehend
