Rescue Me

Rescue Me

I’ve been binging watching Rescue Me and it’s my first time watching the show. I remember when it was on TV but I was younger and never understood the concept. I’m enjoying it much more than I expected to. The dark comedy is hilarious and the character developments are full of detail and drama. I just finished season 1 and am aware there are 7 seasons. I can tell it’s going to get more dramatic and intense. Please no spoilers but I’m going to guess that I’m in for a wild ride.

What’s the Future Look Like?

For weeks I have been binging SVU in efforts to catch up on the show and the storyline. I had watched all the episodes when Stabler was a regular on the show, therefore, I restarted by binge when Rollins appeared. I’ve been binging for weeks and finally up to date. I’ve enjoyed the different detectived that have appeared and Muncy was one of my favorites. She should have had more than one season. There was some chemistry between her and Valesco, which the writer’s should have worked with more. Bruno was definetly a great addition to the Unit and seeing his respect for Benson was heartfelt. He just wanted to have a good boss that actually cared about people and solving cases. I gained huge respect for Captain Curry. Although she started at IAB, it was great character development in the way she challenged Benson because it turned into genuine respect between them. Curry was already a Captain and didn’t have to go work in Benson’s unit but chose to because she gained genuine respect for her. I loved watching Benson rise through the ranks and become a Captain. She isn’t afraid or offended by her squad questioning her because she wants them to do the job the proper way and investigate everything. The way they all came to support her in the finale of season 27 was amazing. However, it can’t be the end of Chief Tynan just yet. As much as people don’t like her character, she walked away too easily. It was a good challenge for Benson to have a villian because it gave her a challenge as the Captain to see what she would do with the adversity. It will be interesting to see what the next season will bring. Should they end the show when Benson decided to retire or keep it going and have someone else rise the ranks and become the next Captain?

The morality of the Devil

I finally watched the show and I loved it! I can’t believe that it’s taken me this long to complete the series but here I am. The 3 seasons were filled with action and the fighting scenes never disappointed. I loved how the camera work made you feel like you were actually in the scene. I enjoyed the storylines and the characters. I just wish that Foggy’s character wasn’t so naive. The only aspect I felt bad for with Fisk is that he watched his father abuse his mother and did what he had to do in self defense. Please educate me if I’m being too much of a hater but I just didn’t see the point of Dex’s character and him pretending to be Daredevil. Am I missing something? Matt and Karen are clearly the power couple but I understand the build up and complications of their relationship. Overall, the development of Matt’s character is interesting because you want to see how far he’s willing to go to protect the city and his loved ones. Now, it’s time for me to watch Born Again.
