I’ve been releasing music on Voloco for a couple of years now, and honestly, the vibe on the app just doesn’t feel right anymore. There are so many active accounts, but it feels like plays and comments are barely being pushed, UNLESS you boost. It sucks dropping music into a total void where nobody is actually engaging or leaving any real, insightful feedback. ​I wanted to post here to see if we can figure out a workaround for the new "pay-to-play" algorithm. Two main questions for you guys:

​How do we actually bring back that high-engagement community energy? Is there a way we can start supporting each other organically again?

​What are you doing to actually get visitors to your profile right now? If the internal algorithm isn't pushing tracks anymore, what strategies are actually working for you to drive real people to your page?

I personally feel as though it has become more based on who can afford to be heard vs who has organic engagement from other users.

Has anyone tried the super boost yet? I'm interested in hearing what success they've had with the super boost. I've seen some numbers go crazy and I can't help but wonder if it was all thanks to this dope new feature that was added.

Hey everyone, some of you have asked me why I haven't been posting and checking on me, and I appreciate the concern from everyone (yes, you too 😉) I don't feel ashamed to explain to you all what's been going on and hopefully it'll be a learning experience.

Initially, my headset was broken, and I planned on getting a new pair, and then I realized my adapter piece went out on me as well. But in February, I was evicted from my apartment and had been living in a hotel for 3 months, so money needed to be invested elsewhere, obviously. During this time, I had a bad MS flare-up that landed me in the hospital for about 2 days, and I was told to take it slow..so... another setback. FINALLY, we moved into our new apartment on May 1st, AND I have started a job that leaves me damnere bedridden (yes, cause of the MS). Which takes a damn toll, unfortunately. But now I am getting back into the swing of things, and you all can expect music coming soon. I'm working on getting a new quality set to continue to make those songs that some of you have learned to love. I only feel that it's fair that I tell you all (those who check reddit) what's been going on. If all of this is TMI, sorry, but this is my life. And like it or not, Voloco IS a part of my life❤️
