I need help finding the right saddle for upright riding!
I’m currently riding a comfort E-bike. My wife and I spend most of our riding on a paved bike path. We don’t bike too fast, but the path does have a lot of hills. We ride for 1-3 hours in a session and travel 6-20 miles.
I sit in a pretty upright position, and I’ve spent time making sure my seat height and front/back positioning is correct for my size. (According to different “guides” online) my issue is after about 40 minutes of riding my ass and sometimes upper back/neck start bothering me.
My sit bones are about 110mm
Seats I’ve tried so far (with padded bike shorts!):
-MTB Volt medium
-Cloud-9 Comfort Men’s Saddle
-Adamo Island Surf Saddle
-Wittkopp City Bike Seat (Amazon special lol)
Honestly I think the MTB Volt has been the most comfortable on our 1hr rides. My ass definitely hurts after but since we only ride 2-3 times a week I expect some discomfort.
I was considering the MTB Speed saddle since it claims to have a bit more padding than the Volt.
Thoughts/suggestions? Preferably $100 or less.
