Makita RM350D – G1/G2 departing points from dock fails
Hi all,
I’m having an issue with my Makita RM350D robotic mower and I’m trying to figure out if this is a setup issue or a fault.
Problem:
When I try to test or set the departing points from dock using G1/G2 guide wires:
The mower starts the procedure, It rotates/turns around near the dock and then it exits and shows “departing position: 0m Save report?”
Return-to-charge works perfectly via both G1 and G2 guide wires. Mower finds the dock from the lawn and normal mowing operation works without issues once started.
- Boundary loop (R/L) is OK - Green light
- G1 and G2 guide wires are connected and used correctly for return navigation
The issue only happens when trying to configure or test departing points from the dock using G1/G2.
Firmware versions:
- UI: 01.02 00
- Main: 01.02.00
- Drive: 01.00.00
Has anyone seen this before on the RM350D or similar Makita models? Could this be a firmware limitation, incorrect setup step, or a known bug with departing point calibration?
Any advice would be appreciated.
