20yr just got my prescription updated after 3 years from -4.75 to -5.00. I have pretty bad floaters and visual snow so I'm more prone to over thinking vision complication that can arise in the future. I've heard that having higher myopia increases the risk for retinal detachments and some eye diseases and can't help but feel worried that this is my future. Obviously -5 isn't ideal but is it as bad as I'm making it out in my head?

Recently started diving into this sub and seem to found people with the issue I’ve been dealing with for close to 2 years. I’ve been curious though, have any of had sinus infections make it worst? I recently got a pretty bad dry sinus infection and my eye spots went from being a handful a day to hundreds of very quickly fading smaller ones. Worst when leaning over or breathing through my already dry nose. Anyone else have this issue?
