For Gen-X, coming home from school to an empty house was only a part of the overall lack of adult supervision we experienced as kids.
Often, the discussion around Gen-X's lack of supervision focuses on our Latchkey Kid experience after school. But during the summer, we were on our own from the time we got up in the morning. On the weekends, our parents partied with their friends - the parents of our friends - and while they drank, smoked weed, and had their fun, we were going feral, late into the night.
As we got older, 12/13/14, we discovered new things to do with the opposite sex, starting with 7 Minutes In Heaven. This is also when we started sneaking out at night and running around our neighborhoods until 3 AM.
