Like so many I have inherited a coin collection while knowing nothing about coin collecting. I am wondering what resources you all use to identify or value a coin?

Basic internet search brings a lot of websites, but I'm not sure which are trustworthy, and I'm hesitant to go to a coin shop with no knowledge of my own.

I appreciate any guidance anyone might be willing to share with me.
