In light of all the buzzheavier things that took place recently, I wanted to know how does one go about verifying game files by checking the hashes for 1. DDL and 2. Torrents? Steps and specificity on file/folder would be appreciated for both cases.

Another related thought I had was although torrenting isn't really worth it for where I am, but still I think qbit has like rechecking built in so I guess one could use that but then what if a malicious actor somehow just replaces the supposed "good hash" reference on the site ?

Edit (if it helps to rephrase): Could you perhaps go into the steps for first acquiring and then checking the hashes, let's say for example a recent case for if a user would try to download FH6 with DDL (AnkerGames, RexaGames, etc.) and Torrent (FitGirl).
