We have these tall ornamental grasses along our property line. We would really love to break it up with some large flowers, but I’m having trouble visualizing a good pairing. We were thinking of some peonies, coneflowers, globe flowers, etc… but these all seem to look so silly in my head with the tall grasses. Should we just get rid of all the tall grass or is there a way to make it work. The grass does provide a level of privacy that we like, but I’m willing to get rid of all of them for some beautiful flowers.

We are also in zone three and the area is it full, which adds another layer of difficulty to the decision making. Any and all advice is welcomed!
