They turn to see a man holding what appears to be parts of a rifle while fireworks and other pyrotechnics go off around him
(This takes place in your OC’s world, where they have heard about a new company opening up and blowing up in the public eye for many different reasons. Buying out impoverished blocks, buying out large warehouses and trucks, buying resources rights to large swaths of land. They would have even heard about the many illegal things the company is tied in, like drugs and other organized crimes)
