When do you seek help for bleeding/clots?
TMI warning for clot talk.
I have multiple fibroids, the largest of which is a subserosal, and smaller ones in the uterus.
Time between cycles is always shorter (average every 21 days), and my periods usually last 6-7 days, with heavy heavy flow and cramps on day 1-2, then lightening a bit on day 3, then almost nonexistent on day 4, then a resurgence on day 5, and then finally tapering off.
This month, I’ve been bleeding for 11 days. It followed that same bleeding and cramping pattern, but then continued on with light bleeding from days 7-10. Suddenly today, on day 11, every time I sit on the toilet, blood is just flowing out of me and I’m passing clots almost every time. I’ve prob passed 5-6 small to medium clots today.
This has never happened, and on top of that, I have a cold, so this sudden large blood loss after ten days of already bleeding, plus having a cold, has me feeling very physically crappy. I have mild cramps too. I’m guessing this could stop as quickly as it starts, but I’m curious 1) if anyone else has experienced this, what you did, and how long it lasted, and 2) after how many days of this should I go to the hospital?
