Progressive glasses - left and right eye sharpness is different

Recently got my first pair of progressives and overall quite happy with the result.

Here is something I noticed recently. Let's say I'm looking at something at an intermediate or near distance, and I find the head position where it's in sharp focus.

Then I close one eye at a time, to check the focus of each eye individually.

Guess what, I noticed only the left eye is in sharp focus, the right eye is slightly blurry. If I turn my head slightly to make it sharper in the right eye, then the left eye becomes slightly blurry.

I only noticed it recently, because I generally keep both eyes open 😄 When both eyes are open, it's in reasonably sharp focus, so I assume the brain adapts to the eye that delivers the most sharpness.

Does this mean there is a problem with the glasses fitting and measurements? Yes I did chose the lenses with the widest distance and more narrow intermediate corridor. But - I'm testing it with both eyes looking straight in front of me, not glancing sideways. I would expect both eyes to stay within the corridor, no matter how narrow it is, and deliver the same sharp focus individually. What am I missing here?
