Plenvu vs MiraLAX for prep

I am about to have my 2nd colonoscopy in 2 days. The first I had done 5 years ago, my GI had me take Plenvu. This time, he is having me do the MiraLAX prepping.

My question is if the MiraLAX prep is just as effective as the Plenvu. While the Plenvu wasn’t a great experience to go through, it did clean me out. My GI was very happy. So I’m concerned that the MiraLAX route won’t be as good. I just went to get this right so I don’t fail my colonoscopy and have to go through this again next year.

How many times have you rewatched the NCAA tournament games?

I have rewatched every game. Although I admit I only watched the championship game vs UConn once. But I have watched us beating Arizona 5 times now lol!

March Madness has a channel on YouTube and you can watch every game in 90 minutes in HD.

2nd Colonoscopy - Prep Questions

I will be having my 2nd colonoscopy next Friday. I had one 5 years ago because I was having a lot of inflammation in my lower abdomen (turns out that was due to black mold that was constantly triggering my IBS). My GI found a medium size polyp that he said had a "40%" of being cancerous. This is the reason for this 2nd colonoscopy in 5 years.

Now, I admit that I didn't follow the pre-prep instructions the first time. All I did was take the Plenvu that my GI doctor prescribed me. Man, that was an adventure. I remember taking the first dose, and thinking "that wasn't bad. What's all the fuss about?". Then I took the 2nd "super laxative" dose and I couldn't be more than 10 feet away from my bathroom. While it wasn't pleasant, it was effective. My GI was very happy with my prep lol.

But for my upcoming colonoscopy, they just gave me this Miralax protocol. My procedure will be at 10am on Friday. This Miralax regiment the day before is telling me to mix up 32oz of this stuff at 5pm. Then drink 8oz of it every 15 minutes over the course of an hour (4 times total). Then repeat this again at 10pm. For me, this seems late, especially the 10pm one. Can I start this regiment earlier, or is there a reason for that time schedule? I don't want to mess anything up. Also, what should I expect with the Miralax approach? Is it going to be as powerful as the the Plenvu? I'm assuming it won't be.

Also, I'm looking at the eating regiment I was given. I know others who have had this done were only on a liquid diet the day before. So I was surprised to see that the protocol for the day before says I can eat 2 eggs and toast before 10:30am. Then I can have some udon noodles with broth only for lunch as long as it's before 1:30pm. After 1:30pm, "no more solid foods, just clear liquids". I'm just seeing what others ate before their colonoscopy, including 2-3 days before.

I just want everything to go as smoothly as possible and actually follow the protocol this time lol! I will also be having an endoscopy as well that day.
