Should I switch? Eliquis to Pradaxa?
I have been taking Eliquis for the last 6 months. I have Factor V Leiden and 6 months ago I had a superficial clot and then they found an "old" dvt behind my knee. Boom blood thinners for life. My problem is I pay out of pocket and Eliquis is $350 a month.
A week ago I found a Canadian pharmacy to order from and its still $190 for a month supply. I know supposedly that a generic has been approved for Eliquis.... but the new pharmacy kinda freaked me out today when they called and said there may be interactions with my Eliquis and my Celexa (taken for anxiety and depression). Has anyone had any issues?
Also for the sake of my wallet because id like to be able to send my kids to college, has anyone made the switch to Pradaxa from Eliquis? How did you feel? TIA
