So I went to the Brisbane show last week which was incredible and after the show I waited around the artist exit to try get my records signed when karly walked out and seemed genuinely excited to see my mum and I. She signed both my records and even drew a portrait of me!! And I asked about why they were playing in Mullumbimby (100 capacity town hall in a country town) and she said they just get booked random little gigs in Australia. Then she asked me if I was going but I told her I’d love to but I’m 16 and it’s an 18+ gig, she asked if I wanted to go and when I said definitely she called someone to see if it was possible to get me in which was incredibly kind. After talking for like 5 minutes we left and the next day I got a dm from Alan saying i can come and they put me on the guest list!! The Mullumbimby show was incredible it was so incredibly intimate and fun compared to the night before. In the middle of the set karly said they were gonna play a cover and pulled out a cord sheet and asked if the venue could get a light on the floor so she could read it. I was right in the middle up the front so I asked if she wanted me to use my phones flashlight and said if I could hold my phone up for 5 minutes. After they played the song karly handed me the sheet which was just really nice, the rest of the night was incredible they played insane and bull believer that night was the most impressive thing iv seen done live. After they finished karly looked for me and handed me the set list which was the perfect end to the night.
