Part Time vs Full Time?

Hey everyone,

I’m an aspiring Home Inspector, currently in the “ride-along” stage.

The guy I ride with is killing it with his business and has been awesome to learn from. He does multiple inspections daily and makes the type of money I dream of.

My question is should I start as a part time inspector until I gain more traction or just go full throttle from the start? I love this industry so far, but I worry about quitting my full time job.

I’d love to know how you all have grown your business, and how you managed to balance things until your business took off!

Best Gym?

Hey everyone,

I moved to Baldwin County this year and was kinda surprised there isn’t a Club4 on this side of the bay.

It’s my absolute favorite gym but I can’t justify driving an hour one way to Mobile each evening.

Is there anything like it here, or is Planet Fitness pretty much the best option?

You’ve Got This

Hey everyone,

If you are someone who is struggling with unemployment or job security I just want to let you know YOU’VE GOT THIS.

My story:

I am a 25M, and I’ve had severe ulcerative colitis for almost a decade.
When I was an older teen into my early twenties I struggled big time with working because my flare ups were so intense. I went from a healthy 160lb kid to 120lbs in about 4-5 weeks. I thought there was no hope for me to ever be self sufficient and provide for a family. I battled depression and dark thoughts for a long time.

Then one day about two years ago something in me snapped. I told myself I was not going to let my circumstances define how far I can make it in life. A fire in me was lit and a passion for life intensified. I started making major life changes starting with my diet (cutting out all junk food) and working out regularly which in turn helped with my disease big time, and I became a lot healthier which allowed me to work a job. I put myself in a lot of uncomfortable job situations and forced myself to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. I stopped with the self pity and blaming everything and channeled all of that energy into becoming the best possible version of myself I can be (I’m still not there, it’s a daily challenge).

Long story short I went from a severely unhealthy, broke boy with a chronic disease to a now married man with a good job and a nice little house I rent in a nice neighborhood.

There are always going to be others that are more successful than you and there are always going to be circumstances that are unfair. But at the end of the day it’s YOU vs YOU. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t be successful, including your own brain.

This post isn’t to brag on myself but to encourage you that it is possible to beat the odds and live a good life. The fact that you are even on this subreddit means that you value your career path. Keep up the good work and always keep going!

There are big big things in store for you!
