Here’s an unusual question: is it cricket season? meaning the insect, not the British sport. I’ve been living here in SR since the end of January, and hadn’t seen a single one, except for the street snacks. I saw one in our bedroom last night and swept it off our balcony with a Khmer broom, hopefully into the garden four floors below. Then tonight my wife gave a holler and pointed to another one, and I got this one out with a little more effort. These were big, black healthy looking bugs, good hoppers. Are crickets real active now?
