Weird splatter shirt LC and ID

Hi! I have this D&G shirt. It looks authentic, but I wonder if it's a custom or if there really was a shirt with that kind of splattering. This "pattern" appears all over the shirt, both on the shoulders and back. I've searched online but can't find anything. Do you have any information about this collection? It looks like it's from the '00s.
