Twitch Plays OoT just beat Gohma!

A few days ago, u/MrGoldGames already posted about his Twitch Plays OoT mod on here. I joined back then and had an absolute blast.

Usually all viewers take turns controlling Link for a bit. To me it felt almost like playing it back then as a child with my brother, passing the controller when someone says "Let me try this". Just that it's way harder to play than when I was 6 lol.

It took us two days but we just put down Gohma.

I really did not expect this to be even possible. Everything that is timed, like a burning stick or the lowering of the water in the Deku Trees basement were super hard to pull off.

I know we will soon reach the point where progressing is just impossible by using Twitch chat commands, but so far this is incredibly fun!

Aside from the launch windows of the base game and DLC, with two spikes in and around 2024 (probably attributed to some youtubers?), the player count is continually rising. In 2025 most months had a peak around 2000, in 2026 every month so far has been above 2000.

I'm so happy to see how this game is a sleeper hit, mouth to mouth propaganda is working and Mobius is probably still making a good income that way ::)
