New to BG3 and want to do a 2 party playthough.
Hello, I'm new to BG3. I wanted to do a 2 party playthrough with Shadowheart as my companion. I love magic and spells so i was probably going to make a custom character for myself that uses a mixture or pure caster.
The choices are a bit overwhelming so I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.
What should I build for Shadowheart?
What should my custom character class/race be?
I also want to point out i do know the game is balanced for a 4 player party, but having to micro manage the extra characters doesn't appeal to me so i wanted to start with 2.
Oh, I also know that one of the party need to be charisma i think? for the lore etc. so i was probably going to have my character the main one.

Edit: I decided from a few suggestions I saw. I am going to do bard for my custom character and a ranger for Shadowheart. If I truly struggle I'll add more characters. Thank you everyone for your input and patience. I'm new so I have a lot to learn, I truly appreciate each one of you. 💕
