Hi folks,

I'm applying for a mortgage with National Bank. Already got an accepted offer for the house I'm buying.

I'm using a broker who submitted the paperwork ~12 business days ago, and let us know this waiting time is standard for NB. Already had a pre-approval with other banks for a much higher amount.

However, today he said the underwriter is going on vacations so my application will have to wait until she comes back in another 14 days. Broker says application looks solid and the underwriter herself already confirmed she didn't see anything worrying with it.

Is this a normal practice?
