Are we ready for this discussion?
I just saw this news article on X/twitter and the comments below it just show that most Kenyans don't read nor do they like to educate themselves.
The first comment was screaming about gender, yet he couldn't define what gender means. He kept conflating it to sex.
The second comment was a guy, having used AI, with a deposition on how the law doesn't permit changes in sex even if it doesn't make it illegal. A lot of words to just say he hates the ruling and the people it benefits.
The rest were hate comments with barely any thought from people who don't know what the terms transgender or intersex mean.
We need more books in schools. We need to educate ourselves more because the choice of leaders and the kinds of people we have in this society are due to a woeful lack in critical thinking, empathy and general good nature.
