How was the treatment of the natives by the Orthodox Church?
I’m mostly curious because I’ve heard that the main government of the Russian Empire in Alaska was terrible. However, I’ve also heard that the clergy was quite kind, or at least respectful, toward the natives. I don’t know how true that is, though, and I’d rather seek confirmation.
