Firefox is blocking a mouse macro to close tabs
Hi everyone,
After Firefox updated yesterday, one of my Logitech mouse macros stopped working.
The macro is very simple and is only used to close browser tabs (Ctrl+W). Everything was working normally before the update, but now Firefox seems to be blocking that specific function.
A few details:
- The issue started immediately after the Firefox update yesterday.
- I'm using a Logitech mouse with the macro configured through Logitech software.
- The macro still works normally outside of Firefox.
- I tested the same macro in other browsers (Chrome, Edge, etc.), and it closes tabs without any problem.
- Firefox is the only browser where the tab-closing action is not working.
- Other mouse buttons and functions appear to work as expected.
Has anyone else experienced this after the latest Firefox update? Did Mozilla change something related to shortcut handling, input simulation, or macro-generated key presses?
Any ideas or troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.
Thanks.
