Customer service workers turning their backs when I address them.
Had a question for the younger retail workers.
This may be a coincidence. But I noticed in Walmart the other day. I said "Excuse me" to address two separate associates and both times they immediately turned their backs to me and I just stood there for a second confused. They then turned back at me and just kind of stared until I asked them a question. Then just today I was pulling up to a drive through beside a young women standing outside waiting to take my order. As she saw me pulling up she turned away for a moment. When she turned around. I greeted her, she stared, then greeted me as if I hadn't already said hello. In all 3 of those interactions, they ended up helping me no problem. They were all 3 young women. But the beginning of each interaction was so strange it threw me for a loop. Can anyone shed some light on this? Am I maybe doing something to put service workers off somehow?
