Hi,

I'm starting my graduate role in Birmingham this September. I don't know Birmingham at all but I will be working very close to the Snow Hill train station. I want to live frugally in a houseshare which is within a maximum 40 minute walking distance from my place of work.

--> Is there a particular area of Birmingham that I should be looking for?

--> Any areas to avoid?

--> Is it viable to commute to Birmingham from surrounding places like Coventry, or would that take too long/cost too much?

I'd be grateful for any recommendations, thank you!

edit: forgot to add, I will need a car too so any insight about traffic and parking would also be much appreciated!
