I read some positive reviews about Venn in this sub so thought of signing up.

First hurdle - they don't accept Proton mail. Their chatbot said it's because of their banking partners not accepting it. Whatever, I use my Gmail and proceed.

Then they ask for ID verification with Persona. This was a deal breaker for me. I understand they need to verify identities but they provide no alternatives to Persona which is a US company known for surveillance (I can't post links here so you can look it up). I haven't had to do this kind of verification at any other Canadian institutions.

I'm now looking for alternatives.

I know many folks will say I'm being paranoid lol and that's OK. Just wanted to put this here so people are aware.

I'm incorporated providing software development services and recently got a contract with a US company. I'm new to contracting and don't know how to create invoices.

From what I've read so far, it's a zero-rated service but I still need to charge HST. What information should be included on the invoices? Are there any samples I can use?
