Hey everyone,

I wanted to get some real feedback from people who actually understand content, so posting here.

Quick context about me:

I’ve been working in the YouTube space for about 4 years mostly running faceless channels. I’ve generated around $30K from them, so I understand the backend (ideas, thumbnails, packaging, etc.).

Now I’m trying to transition into building a personal brand where I share what I’m learning + help creators improve their content.

And that’s where I feel I’m struggling.

I recently uploaded a video, and honestly I know it’s not where it should be yet.

I’m specifically trying to improve:

  • Hook & first 30 seconds
  • Retention (keeping people watching)
  • Making content feel less scripted
  • Overall engagement

I’d really appreciate honest feedback even if it’s harsh.

Especially:

  • At what point would you click off?
  • What feels weak or boring?
  • Does it feel like I know what I’m talking about, or not yet?
  • What would you improve first?

I’m not claiming to be an expert here just someone actively working on getting better and documenting the process.

Appreciate any input 🙏
