I have a 5th gen iPod that has had the a volume issue for over a decade, which is why I don't use it much anymore but I want to see if it is fixable so I can use it again.

The issue is when earphones are being used, the volume plays at full blast in the earphones if the volume is set to 0, and if you set it any higher, it plays full blast and from the speakers as well. Has anyone else encountered this issue, and if so were they able to resolve it?

Is this fixable?
