I have a Yamaha Dragster 650 and I’m experiencing an intermittent electrical/charging issue. The problem comes and goes in waves.

Sometimes the bike runs perfectly fine with no issues, but other times it refuses to start and I have to push-start it. The battery is brand new, so I don’t think it is the issue itself.

While riding, the bike sometimes suddenly cuts out and stalls. It also often dies when idling at a stop.

Based on the symptoms, it seems like an inconsistent charging problem. It feels like the system is sometimes charging properly and sometimes not, which causes the battery to drain while riding.

Any advice on where to start diagnosing this would be appreciated**.**
