Assignment and TEE unfair evaluation
So we all know IGNOU'S evaluation, be that for TEE or assignments can be arbitrary. This post is aimed at hard-working students who are seeing their efforts devalued by an unfair system.
The one thing we collectively can do is to request Answer Sheet Copies, Evaluated Assignments and TEE Exam answer key/guidelines using RTI. Answer sheet copies can be easily obtained without RTI directly via university portal. We need to start doing this.
I say this aims at hard-working students because only such students will be able to use these resources to argue they are being graded unfairly. And it takes lot of hardwork. File CPGRAMS complaints using your proof acquired via RTI.
While this may not individually lead to resolutions, my aim with this post is to encourage students to do this to create pressure on IGNOU. And to create enough awareness at Higher Education Ministry Level that evaluation at IGNOU is steeped in issues.
I am just a student like you, but after I heard my own academic counselor say that they grade 800+ assignments a single semester and they randomly assign marks.... I am going to do my best to fight the system. For myself and for those who may not be able to.
To come together as a student community and file any writ petition at High Courts take immense amount of money and labour. And even if some of us do, it'll be waste of several years for those that embark on it. So I believe filing RTI and CPGRAMS compliants is a way for us to raise our voice even if it gets nowhere. Many voices amplify.
Tldr; Kindly fight for your academic rights if you can. The more we fight as a student community, the greater pressure on IGNOU will be.
