No, cause like you guys don’t understand. The lyrics: ”What a shame you’re not here, Here to witness my devotion, and my endless well of needs” are simply TOO good. This could literally mean multiple things. One is that the guy is not physically there by her side. Another is the lack of emotional presence by him. Nonetheless, in both ways she feels neglected in her love, sadness, and needs.
Not that I want to compare her songwriting to TS. I simply want to point out how this, to ME, is equivalent to her ”tolerate it,” arguably one of TS’s best songwriting.
Both songs were able to encapsulate that feeling of having a partner—in name—but not emotionally nor physically, which to me is such a horrifying situation to be in. Because once you’re in it, you just simply cant leave because nothing is wrong. There’s just nothing.
