Topic: What are some new features you wish Duolingo would add?

Lately I’ve been thinking about some things I wish Duolingo would add, so I wrote up a little feedback and sent it to their team. Figured I’d share here too since I’m curious if anyone else feels the same way.

Things I want:
More achievement tiers — XP Olympian caps at 30,000 XP. Mistake Mechanic caps at 1,000. That’s it. For people who’ve been on this app for years those numbers aren’t that crazy, so why not keep going? 50K XP, 100K XP, 1000 early lessons,… whatever. I’m at a point where I’ve maxed out all the achievements, so there are no more badges for me to earn (thus, no more gems)
A learner personality plaque on your profile — Duolingo already does those Year in Review archetypes (Polyglot Pupil, Party Owl, etc.) and I always thought those were fun. Would be cool if that was a permanent thing on your profile that updates over time based on how you actually learn. Feels more personal than just a number.
Fix vocabulary learning — this one’s been bothering me for a while honestly:
• If a language has gendered nouns, why not show the gender? It annoys me when I revise my French/German/Spanish and don’t remember whether the word’s masculine/feminine/neuter lol
• Let me filter vocab by type — nouns, verbs, adjectives. Reviewing a random shuffled list isn’t that useful
• A proper flashcard mode with bookmarks for words I keep getting wrong would go a long way. Basically Quizlet but built into the app

What would YOU want them to add? Curious what the rest of this community thinks — there are definitely pain points I haven’t thought of.

Hi, I'm an incoming freshman at NJIT for the class of 2030 (CS major) and I've been pretty interested in the skateboard club at the school. The club seems pretty nice, and I thought it'd be pretty cool to pick up a new hobby during college :) And for that, there are some questions I'd like to ask.

First, I’ve never actually touched a skateboard before (I'll definitely try it this summer in advance), so would it be cool for a total newbie to join? Do I have to bring my own skateboard? Also, though I have practically no experience at skateboarding, I'm decent at rollerblading—do people ever show up on blades, or is it strictly boards? Last, are there many girls in the club? (since I'm a girl, )

Thanks!
