Need advice for reduction linocut
Hi, I trying to do a reduction lino print for the first time and a I have a problem I need help from experts please :) so the project is a 5 layers prints and the first layer is yellow. I traced the lines of the drawing on the lino sheet with a marker because I would like the drawing to stay between all the print sessions and ink washing etc... I tried with a Staedtler lumocolor marker and did a test with my yellow ink (it's an oil based water washable Charbonnel ink) and the black lines transfer into the ink to the paper so I get my drawing printed into the yellow color !! Is the problem the marker or the ink?? I erased the lines with nail polish remover, tested that there's no "line transfer left" and tried again with a different permanent marker and got the same problem... Can someone help me ?
