[Tenant-US-WV] LL had me pay monthly rent via Zelle. I had to split it into 2 payments because of a Zelle limit. This was after failed attempts at sending rent via Venmo due to having to split the payments and it took too long. So month 3 i asked if I could make the rent payments to her on the 3rd and 7th since I had to make 2 payments anyway. She agreed. I paid that way for almost 2 years. When we recently gave our notice she indicated she would take all the late fees out of the deposit. She is very angry we are leaving. I’m guessing she will deduct what she wants and we will have to go to small claims court. Do you think her deducting the “late fees” at this time is valid and are they late if we agreed to the dates?
