What is next if letrozole doesn't work

Hi I've been on letrozole since January as I have pcos. 2.5mg and two rounds of 5mg haven't made me ovulate. For context I only ovulated 3 times on my own last year. I'm also on Metformin, myo inositol and other supplements. I'm about to start 7.5mg and whilst I hope this works I want to get a better idea of next steps. My consultant (NHS) said we can go up to 10 but after that we would be looking at IVF. I see all these posts about other things to try first but I'm not sure what is covered on the NHS. Part of me wonders if the clinic would push for IVF first because if it fails then I would then I might do private with them. So I just want to know others experiences to know what to ask for at my next appointment...

Confused - Letrozole and bleeding CD18

Hi hoping someone can advise as my clinic is shut until Monday....

I have been on letrozole but unmonitored so far. No signs of ovulation on 2.5mg and had to take northisterone to induce a bleed. No signs of ovulation on first round of 5mg but I had what I thought was a period on CD31. The clinic told me to take letrozole again with 5mg and I'm due a progesterone test next week. That period only lasted 2 to 3 days but I assumed because I don't normally have periods that might be ok.

However CD17 last night before bed there was some blood when I wiped. Today there is even more.

I have no idea what is going on. I thought maybe ovulation bleeding but it is bright red and a reasonable amount when I wipe. Has anyone had this happen??

The other thing is since the letrozole my temp has been weirdly higher than normal. I have been unwell so assumed it was that but had a massive drop this morning.

Just wondering if letrozole has failed and if I need to start a new cycle of letrozole. I'm advised days 2-6 so I guess if it continues I'd have to start tomorrow but this doesn't seem right at all!
