Why is he talking to me like this?
I understand that Hawaii is competitive, but we’ve been going back and forth with these recruiters for weeks and have had no success. I didn’t mean to piss him off but after submitting our applications 10 days ago, I reached out for an update. He says rudely he heard nothing but suggests that I call to try move our app forward. I ask for the number and he gives me the main number to the hospital… obviously not helpful. I tell him and ask what number he would call if he needed to speak to the manager, he says he doesn’t know. He decided to reach out to a traveler he has at the facility and this is where the screenshots begin. I only said I had to hear back by Monday to push the situation along since I already bought plane tickets (originally for a different contract but it fell through). I didn’t know I was gonna make him this angry.
I’m about ready to cut my losses and choose another location for the summer. If anyone has any suggestions at all for landing a contract out there, I’d love to hear it. My travel buddy and I have no preferences on island, shift, or unit. We just need med-surg/tele or PCU and have all of our documentation ready!
